Team Project #2: Web Service

Description

Based on your individual project #3, develop an XML Web Service application to exchange sales order data between your customers using MS Access and your online store using MSSQL.

Requirements

  1. Create an ASP.net Web service that retrieves sales order data (both order head and order detail) from the shopping cart database in MSSQL and returns the data in XML format. Publish the WSDL.
  2. Create a Web service client to request the above Web service for a sales order data in XML, parse the XML, and save it to an MS Access database.

Grading

  • Web service: 30%
  • Web service client: 70%
